Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is essential to creating a safe therapeutic environment, and we adhere to the standards set by the College of Regulated Psychotherapists of Ontario. It is important to note that by law, there are a limited number of circumstances where there are limits to confidentiality which are covered during the initial consultation. Some of these include risk of child abuse, intentions to seriously harm others or oneself, court orders or subpoenas to release information to a third party such as a lawyer. Please be aware that email and digital communications are not secure.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide 24 hours’ notice to cancel your session without charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours or ‘no shows’ will incur a $50 charge. Note that insurance does not cover cancellation fees.

Insurance Coverage

Psychotherapy by a Registered Psychotherapist is not covered by OHIP but may be eligible for reimbursement through some extended health benefit plans. Please check with your insurance provider.
